Thanks for your inquiry. Do email me so we can discuss Skype therapy for PTSD. I certainly do work with PTSD using Mindfulness Therapy. This provides an excellent way to work with painful and traumatic emotions. The first part of Mindfulness Therapy is to learn how to break free from the habit of becoming overwhelmed with your emotional reactions. This is called Mindfulness-based Affect Tolerance. After having established a non-reactive relationship with our emotions then we move to the second phase of Mindfulness Therapy which focuses on restructuring the emotional imagery (Image Reprocessing) that lies at the core of anxiety, depression and traumatic memories. Change this emotional imagery and you will change the emotion.

You are welcome. Contact me if you would like to schedule a Skype therapy session for help with anxiety or depression or other emotional problems.

Online Mindfulness Therapy
Skype is encrypted and is much more secure than telephone or email, both of which have been used for psychotherapy for many decades. It may not be HIPPA compliant, which is why, of course I do not process Health Insurance. Psychotherapy is a broad term referring to the process of helping individuals overcome common emotional problems such as anxiety and depression and this is not restricted to medical or clinical treatment protocols.

Thanks. It has been a pleasure working with you and teaching you about mindfulness and how to apply mindfulness for healing emotional suffering. We worked on anger issues and found the underlying sadness and hurt which is almost always at the core of anger. As you learned how to meditate on your anger and that sadness you very quickly developed a compassionate and conscious relationship with those emotions that allowed them to change and heal. Well done!

Mindfulness therapy and meditation can be very helpful for managing the emotional suffering associated with chronic pain. As always, email me if you would like to schedule a Skype therapy session.
