Skype is encrypted and is much more secure than telephone or email, both of which have been used for psychotherapy for many decades. It may not be HIPPA compliant, which is why, of course I do not process Health Insurance. Psychotherapy is a broad term referring to the process of helping individuals overcome common emotional problems such as anxiety and depression and this is not restricted to medical or clinical treatment protocols.
